EXCELLENT food, great service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A MUST visit during the #Holiday Season, whenever you're in Center City and so on. 😊
My mom and I ate here after hanging out around center city. We were looking for a simple and quick meal. The food was really good and for a great price as well. We chose to sit upstairs so we could look out the window, nobody else was up there so it was great, but the table set up made me think it would be a little crowded up there during busy hours. Regardless we enjoyed our time. Will definitely return!
Great food, and service. Amanda was awesome!
Good place for a drink. Staff friendly. Food ok and inexpensive
I come here for lunch now and then, the mace's burger is great. Haven't had a bad trip yet. Friendly service, friendly people and of course the beer and drinks are great.
The bartender and service was excellent. It was a very surreal place to enjoy a game and have a great discussion. James, the bartender, was very good.
For business folk, but not bad for a quick stop. The building itself is a cute little juxtaposition from the rest of the neighborhood.
Staff was friendly and quick. Hense the 2 stars. I ordered cheese fries and they tasted terrible. Strong odor of pee, Left after that.
Ol head spot. Lots of tourist visit bar. An unexpected good time.
We stopped in after touring the area and almost immediately regretted it. The bartender was chewing and spitting tobacco behind the bar (into a plastic cup-- but gross), the locals at the bar were having a super racist conversation, the bathroom (upstairs, basically in the dirtiest kitchen ever) had paper thin walls, and I'm fairly certain my Hendricks wasn't Hendricks. I'd say save your time and money and hit up any one of the cooler dive bars in the area.
Cool dive bar. Bartenders are characters
Stopped in for some mimosas and a quick bite.
Great food and amazing service
Loud and small, NO smoking. Small but tasty cheesesteak (???). It certainly was NOT 'thinly sliced rib eye' like it said in the menu. I am pretty sure it was ground beef. 'nough said about Mac's Crossing.
Love the people here, and the beer is c-c-old! Exactly what I need during lunch. Chill, hang, take a deep breath before heading back.
First visit was great, had alot of fun with the employees and patrons. Second trip was awful. I am pretty sure the gal behind the bar wanted to fight my girlfriend.
Excellent, friendly service. Nice little hideaway in the heart of the city!
It's a traditional Irish pub in Philly. Behave and you'll have a wonderful time.
Rad olde time bar. Nice history, Good folk a good conversation
The bartender Mike is the BEST bartender I have ever come across. Great service, food, drink and atmosphere!
Service was great! Food was excellent! Great place to be when you are out of town!
Great dive to grab a pint and the wings are good too.
Excellent food, delightful staff, would absolutely recommend everyone to come here
We were seated immediately for lunch. Prompt service. Decent prices. The food was good. It is a quaint little pub that hints of a long storied past. The only con was it smelled of old beer but that added to the charm.
It's a wonderful place to go out for 🍽 with your 👪 and friends or byself they have all different kinds of food u can choose from and the place is so beautiful inside they will give u time to pick your meal u what to eat for lunch or 🍽 anytime u come to there restaurant and the people there are nice and friendly will help u with whatever u need for your family. Great place to go out and have lots of fun hanging out too.
Good view of city,. Food great, service too. Great prices . Impressive place.
A cozy pub with good beers beware rest room is smaller than a commercial airliners
Great service and atmosphere, would go back if I am in Philadelphia. I am a flight attendant and met nice people there.
Perfect balance of historic charm and old school dive. The bartenders remember your drink after the first round. You're a regular after your first close. Folks are friendly and a popular destination for the late night industry crowd.
Cheap food and drinks, service is friendly. Located perfectly in center city.
I love this place. Cozy and not center city-ish.
Love this little hidden bar in the middle of Philly.
Recommended by a local, this place is definitely a go to spot. It’s literally that pub feeling you were looking for. Small, cozy, welcoming. The gentleman who I believe was the owner was hilarious and so very kind. We had 6 shots between two people and our bill was so reasonable. I can’t wait to come back. You were awesome. Thanks for a warm Philly welcome! Best of luck in your business, always.
Good drinks and food
Prompt friendly service! Relaxed quiet atmosphere was during lunch time! Cesar salad( grilled chicken) was fresh&delicious, and portion was perfect! Waitress Unfortunately I forgot her name,(started w/ a "C" she was courteous & attentive!
Great friendly bartenders. Fast service. Nice, diverse crowd.
Good bar tender and always meet interesting people there.
What a fabulous find! After viewing a special exhibit at the Franklin Institute, we stopped into this local gem and were so happy we did. Friendly waitress and patrons, yummy food and good drinks--very reasonable prices. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very casual. Don't miss it!
Great place! Loved the building...
Great cheesesteaks and service - what more do you need?!
Great atmosphere, great staff, great prices.
Cool place.
Only came here for drinks. Nothing too exciting about this place, but at the same time, it does nothing wrong. Drinks are on the cheaper end for a place near center City. Quite small inside. Bartender was attentive and was keeping check on the patrons. Don't expect crazy drinks. It's your basic bar.
I have wanted to go here for years. I finally had the chance yesterday. It was not a far walk from my office, so we went for lunch. Good selection, great lunch specials, and everything was a great value! Our meals were delicious. It was nice to see locals in the bar instead of suburban hipsters or tourists. Now, I know the hipsters/tourists need to eat too (hahaha) but they always don’t know the good places to eat, but the locals do! 😊👍. We will surely be coming back again soon!
decent food. decent beer
Great place for the perfect Guinness pour
Fantastic place with good food and a classy bartender. Come for the drinks, stay for the food or the other way around, you wont be sorry you visited.
The one and only bar you need to visit whilst in Philadelphia. Relaxed talkative locals and a very friendly inclusive atmosphere
Best place to drink in the city.
We lived in that neighborhood for so many years that we never have been in there we enjoy yourself very much and we enjoy
